TtW Employment Coach

Location: Morwell, Vic

Contract type: Parental Leave Cover - Full-Time Permanent

Contract Duration: 6 months

About the role

Our Transition to Work Program assists young people to gain sustainable employment by actively engaging and providing direct employment coaching. The TTW Employment Coach will focus on the abilities and aspirations of young people to maximise a sense of job choice and control over their employment pathway.

In addition to this, you will engage with local employers to source job opportunities and placements.

About you:

  • You are passionate about supporting and empowering young people to achieve meaningful employment outcomes
  • You have experience in youth engagement, career planning, or employment services
  • You are skilled in sourcing employment opportunities and matching young people to suitable roles
  • You are confident delivering job-search preparation, training sessions, and interview coaching
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • You have knowledge of the local labour market and regional skills shortages
  • You have the ability to analyze job requirements and support young people into education or employment
  • You are committed to providing continuous tailored supports to ensure long-term employment success
  • You may have relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in employment services (desired but not essential)
  • You hold a current driver’s licence
  • You have the ability to obtain a satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children Check (or equivalent) required as a condition of employment

Salary

To sit under the Labour Market award - ESO GRADE 2, Pay Point 1 ($31.77 p/h) to Pay point 5 ($35.24 p/h) excluding superannuation and salary packaging benefits.
