Barto Gold is a privately owned Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer operating since 2009. Focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia, our flagship Marvel Loch project operates multiple open pits and underground mines servicing a 2.1Mt per annum processing facility. Supported by a tenement holding of over 1,400 km² in the Southern Cross Greenstone Belt, we are strategically positioned for continued growth.

We are seeking experienced Lab Technicians to join our processing operations at our gold mine. This is a great time to join the Barto Gold Processing Department as our business progresses into 2026 and beyond, this growth is expected to create new roles and career progression opportunities for high-performing team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, prepare, and analyse samples from the processing plant, open pit, and underground operations
  • Conduct fire assay and/or solution analysis (as applicable to site)
  • Perform routine laboratory tests including density, particle size, and solution chemistry
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration, and housekeeping standards
  • Accurately record results and maintain laboratory databases and documentation
  • Comply with site safety, environmental, and quality procedures
  • Support metallurgical test work and investigations as required

About You

  • Previous experience in a mining or metallurgical laboratory (gold processing preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Safety-focused with the ability to follow procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Laboratory Techniques or Metallurgy (desirable)
  • Current Australian driver's licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
  • Full Australian working rights
