State Operations Manager

We are looking for a hands-on State Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations. This role suits someone with solid operations or logistics experience who enjoys problem-solving, improving processes, and leading a small warehouse team.

You will be responsible for managing stock movement, coordinating transport, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations while supporting strong customer service outcomes.

This is a practical, fast-paced role for someone who likes being involved in day-to-day operations — not just managing from a desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound warehouse distribution

• Coordinate logistics including quotes, deliveries, pickups, and tracking

• Prepare daily stock movement reports

• Monitor and manage inventory across interstate warehouses and 3PL providers

• Conduct weekly stocktakes and resolve discrepancies

• Improve warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs

• Supervise and support warehouse staff

• Ensure workplace safety standards are maintained

• Resolve operational issues and customer delivery concerns

• Track performance metrics and identify process improvements

• Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulations

About You

We’re looking for someone reliable, organised, and practical with experience in warehouse or logistics operations.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in a logistics, warehouse, or operations role (5+ years preferred)

• Previous experience supervising or leading staff

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently

• Hands-on leadership style

• Good analytical and reporting skills

• Strong safety awareness in warehouse environments

• Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

• Experience with logistics or inventory software (NetSuite experience highly regarded)

• Solar industry experience is a bonus but not essential
