Senior Commercial Lawyer 6+ PAE

CT Law is a boutique commercial firm focusing on business structuring, trusts, contract negotiation, front end M & A transactions, and general business advice. We service SME's and high net worth individuals.

An average day will be full of interesting and varied work. As a small firm, you will not be pigeonholed into one area of law. You will help our clients across a wide range of areas with practical advice.

We work closely with several local referring accountant firms, and over the past 16 years we have built solid ongoing relationships with our existing clients.

We're looking for an experienced senior commercial lawyer/senior associate with 7+ PAE in private practice to support our director. Remuneration is negotiable depending on your experience.

You would initially be working Tuesday to Thursday based in our Caringbah office. We are willing to tweak hours down the track for the right candidate seeking flexible or hybrid work options. This may be the ideal opportunity for a parent returning to the workforce. Great work life balance and the opportunity to expand the role into full time work in the future

Requirements:

Solid experience in private practice, preferably a boutique commercial or mid-tier firm

You must be able to work confidently with autonomy and minimal supervision.

You can manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work within tight timeframes.

High level drafting and negotiation skills

Practical, commercially oriented, problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate complicated legal issues simply to clients

Strong knowledge of contract law, trusts, consumer law, Corporations Act and PPSA is essential.

A good working knowledge of tax and duties laws, insolvency, employment law, privacy law, commercial property/leasing and commercial disputes/litigation is helpful.

Pro-active and well organised.
