Role DescriptionA Network Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an organization’s network infrastructure to ensure it is secure, efficient, and scalable. This role focuses on planning network solutions that support business operations, optimize performance, and meet evolving technology needs.Key responsibilities include:Designing and implementing network architecture, including LAN, WAN, cloud, and hybrid networksEvaluating and recommending network hardware, software, and technologiesEnsuring network security, performance, and reliability through best practices and monitoring toolsCollaborating with IT teams, security teams, and business units to align network design with organizational needsDeveloping network policies, procedures, and documentationTroubleshooting and resolving complex network issues and outagesPlanning for network capacity, scalability, and future growthStaying updated on emerging networking technologies, standards, and protocolsLeading network-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and integrationsQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldExtensive experience in network design, implementation, and administrationStrong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologiesExperience with cloud networking solutions such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudNetworking certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or Juniper JNCIE are highly desirableStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesExperience with network monitoring, security tools, and performance optimization
