Project Support Officer

  • Salary: $79,122 - $96,073 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Ongoing role
  • Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)
  • Support the team to develop comprehensive skills responses that address current and emerging workforce pressures in priority government industries. May include research, synthesising stakeholder feedback and organising workshops.
  • Provide project management support for an agile project team. May include monitoring deliverables, developing project plans and using relevant software including Airtable, Oracle and SharePoint.
  • With support of manager, work with colleagues across government on skill responses to ensure that levers across the training and higher education system are activated.

The Team

The position of Project Support Officer forms a part of the Adult, Community and Further Education, Pathways and Workforce branch within the Skills and TAFE group.

  • Planning and Organising: Identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal; identifies more and less critical activities and operates accordingly
  • Written Communication: Prepares briefs, letters, emails, and reports using clear, concise, and grammatically correct language
  • Problem Solving: Seeks all relevant information for problem-solving; investigates and probes for the facts; liaises with stakeholders; analyses issues from different perspectives
