  • Achieve meaningful outcomes for the WA resources sector

  • Opportunity to work within a collaborative and supportive team environment

  • CBD-based with flexible working arrangements

The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of WA (CME) is seeking a highly capable and driven professional to join our team as the Senior Advisor – Business Development and Performance.

This is a high-impact role at the centre of CME's team - one that demands equal parts strategic thinking, operational rigour and stakeholder craft. You'll help shape how we govern, how we deliver and how we grow, with direct responsibility for organisation-wide projects, member value and the systems that keep everything running well. If you're a commercially sharp operator who gets things done without losing sight of the bigger picture, this role was built for you.

What will you be doing?

  • Contributing directly to strategic planning, priority-setting and organisational decision-making.

  • Being the connective tissue between governance, systems and performance - ensuring the right processes are in place so the organisation can actually deliver on what it commits to.

  • Translating strategy into action by building practical work plans, tracking mechanisms and implementation frameworks that keep initiatives moving and accountable.

  • Partnering with the executive team to continuously sharpen CME's corporate governance framework - reviewing, stress-testing and improving how we operate at the top.

  • Owning the full member lifecycle from annual renewals and onboarding through to retention, making sure every touchpoint reflects the value we deliver.

  • Keeping a finger on the pulse of membership trends and proactively identifying ways to deepen engagement, grow our reach and strengthen CME's value proposition.

  • Leading organisation-wide projects end-to-end - scoping, driving and landing them on time and on brief.

  • Being the custodian of our CRM. Optimising how it's used, championing adoption across the business, leading enhancements and keeping everyone informed on CRM and broader technology developments.

What are we looking for in you?

  • Deep experience isn't essential. Relevant experience across strategy, advisory or program/project management, a hunger to deliver, and an eagerness to learn will be enough for the right person.

  • Familiarity with the Western Australian resources sector is a plus. You'll hit the ground running if you already understand the landscape, the players and what matters.

  • Sharp analytical thinking with a practical edge. You can diagnose a problem, frame a solution and get it implemented.

  • Proven project management capability. You can plan workstreams, brief up, keep stakeholders aligned and deliver without constant oversight.

  • Strong stakeholder instincts. You build trust quickly with industry, government and internal teams and know how to manage competing interests with finesse.

  • Excellent communication skills. You write clearly, speak credibly and can adapt your register from board paper to team briefing.

  • Commercial acumen in member or stakeholder-based settings. You understand what drives engagement and how to turn relationships into outcomes.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and solid experience with CRM platforms - HubSpot experience is a genuine plus.

  • A personal commitment to CME's values: Accountable, Engaged, Inclusive, Integrity and Respect.
