Business Development Manager – EdTech SaaS📍 Sydney (QLD Territory) | Full-Time UltraTalent has been exclusively engaged with a leading Australian EdTech SaaS vendor as they continue expanding their national sales team. We’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to take ownership of a high-growth Queensland territory, helping increase market share across independent schools. This is a true new business “hunter” role with ownership of the full sales cycle, from outbound prospecting through to closing mid-market deals. The Opportunity:Our client is a well-established Australian EdTech platform with strong national traction and a unique partnership within the Queensland education network. The foundation is already in place, the opportunity now is to accelerate growth and expand adoption across the territory. You’ll be responsible for building pipeline, running product demonstrations, negotiating deals and closing new business, while working closely with product and customer success teams. While the territory is Queensland, the preference is for the role to be Sydney-based to collaborate with the national go-to-market team.(Strong Brisbane-based candidates will also be considered.) Key Responsibilities:• Drive net-new revenue across Queensland independent schools• Generate pipeline through outbound activity (phone, email, LinkedIn)• Leverage education industry partnerships and events• Run discovery meetings and deliver compelling product demonstrations• Manage the full sales cycle through to close• Develop and execute a 12–18 month territory growth strategy• Maintain accurate CRM pipeline and forecasting• Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams What We’re Looking For:• 5+ years SaaS or B2B new business sales experience• Proven track record exceeding quota in a mid-market environment• Strong outbound prospecting skills and pipeline generation• Experience managing the full sales cycle• Experience closing $80k–$100k deal sizes preferred• Hunter mindset with strong accountability and resilience• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills• Comfortable travelling within Queensland for events and client meetings Highly Regarded:• Experience selling into Education / EdTech• Experience building a new territory or market Why This Role?✔ Join a market-leading Australian EdTech platform✔ Strong product-market fit in a recession-resilient sector✔ Opportunity to own and grow a strategic territory✔ Direct access to experienced sales leadership✔ Collaborative, high-performance culture✔ Clear career progression as the team scales If you're a commercial SaaS sales professional who enjoys building markets and closing new business, we’d love to speak with you.
