As the Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of Peritas’ Victorian growth strategy. You will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities across Australia, expanding our reach and impact in the engineering landscape. Your strategic vision, exceptional relationship-building skills, and deep understanding of the engineering market will be crucial in charting our course for national success and leading us to new horizons.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager at Peritas, your duties will include:
Identify and analyse potential markets and key client sectors in Victoria.
Research and identify new business opportunities, projects, and partnerships.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and potential clients.
Develop and execute strategic engagement plans to understand client needs.
Manage a national sales pipeline from initial identification to closure.
Develop competitive proposals, presentations, and tenders.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business opportunities.
Monitor national market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Work closely with technical teams, marketing, and senior leadership to develop business strategies.
Maintain accurate records of business development activities and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments to ensure alignment with the company's vision and goals, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual support.
Other duties as required.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will have:
5 years of experience working in the Engineering or Construction industry
Industry and technical knowledge
Sales and strategic business development
Relationship building and networking
Commercial and financial acumen
Communication and negotiation skills
Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
