The Story This opportunity sits within the IT division of one of Australasia’s largest and most diversified consumer product organisations. Technology is a key enabler of the organisation’s continued growth and transformation. The IT function is responsible for delivering enterprise technology services, managing infrastructure and applications, and driving strategic programs that modernise systems, processes and ways of working across the business. As part of this journey, the organisation is investing in strong change leadership to ensure that transformation initiatives are successfully adopted and embedded across the workforce. The Role Reporting to the Head of IT Portfolio Delivery and based at the Melbourne head office in Docklands, the Change and Communications Specialist will play a key role in supporting technology and business transformation programs across the organisation. This role is focused on ensuring that employees, stakeholders and teams are ready to adopt new systems, processes and ways of working introduced through IT initiatives. You will partner closely with project managers, IT leaders and business stakeholders to plan, design and deliver effective change and communication strategies. Day-to-day, you will: Lead change management activities across multiple technology initiatives and transformation programsConduct impact assessments and change readiness evaluations to understand how projects affect teams and stakeholdersDevelop and execute communication strategies to ensure clear and consistent messaging across the organisationCreate communication materials such as updates, newsletters, presentations and town hall contentDesign and deliver training programs and supporting materials to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processesWork closely with project teams and sponsors to ensure change activities are integrated into project deliveryBuild and manage a network of Change Champions to support communication and adoption across the businessMonitor change progress and track business readiness to ensure successful transition to business-as-usual operations This role will also play an important part in promoting best practice change management frameworks and helping build organisational capability in managing change effectively. What You Bring to the Role You are an experienced change professional who understands how to guide organisations through technology-driven transformation while keeping people at the centre of the process. Key skills and experience include: 5+ years’ experience in change management within complex organisational environmentsProven experience supporting technology or system implementation programsExperience developing change strategies, communications and training materials across the full project lifecycleStrong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build trust across business and IT teamsExperience conducting change impact assessments and business readiness activitiesAbility to design and deliver training and facilitate workshops with end users and stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing high-quality communications and presentationsExcellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience using structured change management methodologies such as Prosci or ADKAR is highly desirable What’s in It for You?
