Let’s talk about the opportunity

The purpose of this role is to manages the day-to-day HR operations, providing expert advice, support, and guidance to managers and employees across all HR matters. The role delivers HR strategies that align with the Commission’s strategic and operational goals and works within a customer-focussed, multi-functional team supporting all Divisions within the Commission.

This is a permanent, full-time position. 

The annual salary is $151,236 to $168,143, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading (currently 17.5%).

Essential requirements

Candidates will be assessed against the following requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, and/or equivalent experience in an operational and strategic human resources. 
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying employment legislation, industrial instruments, and HR frameworks.
  • Proven leadership capability to effectively plan, prioritise and monitor team and individual workloads.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, influencing, relationship management, negotiation and presentation skills. 
  • Experience in managing sensitive employment matters and applying analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues, make recommendations and inform decision making. 
  • Demonstrated experience in enhancing HR systems and processes.
