About the opportunity:
Council is seeking a highly organised and motivated professional to join our Community Development team as the Resilience & Emergency Planning Officer.
Reporting to the Team Leader Community Development, you will play a key role in strengthening our community’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and natural disasters. This dynamic role involves working closely with community members, local organisations and key stakeholders to identify local risks and needs, while delivering initiatives aligned with Council’s Resilience Plan.
You will also provide vital support to Council’s Local Emergency Management Coordinator (LEMC) during and following emergency events, helping to ensure effective coordination, communication and recovery efforts. If you are passionate about building resilient, connected communities and enjoy meaningful engagement with people, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.
