Project Engineer - UPS

The Power Quality (PQ) division at Eaton Electrical provides power management solutions including uninterruptable power supplies (UPS’s), surge protective devices, power distribution units (PDU’s), remote monitoring, software, power factor correction, airflow management, rack enclosures and services. Due to growth, we are looking for a Project Engineer to provide high quality, efficient support to the PMO team to deliver customer projects on time and on budget, as well as supporting the development and maintenance of the PQ product portfolio. Key Duties Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projectsPrepare project drawings, SLDs to customers as requiredWork with internal resources to have project related technical submittals submitted and approved by client Establish testing plans (ITP/ITS), on-site training and oversee UPS project Factory and Site commissioning and testingPrepare the SWMS with assistance of Safety officer and related resourcesEnsure UPS project onsite Delivery, installation, commissioning and testing completed as per site requirementsEnsure designs/projects comply with relevant electrical and safety requirements and customer specificationsLead the solutions to all technical related questions or inquiries from clientEnsure all project work is carried out in a timely and efficient manner, with an eye for detail and customer satisfactionPerform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project statusPrepare and manage the on-site resource schedule and planProvide regular project or progress report updates to both Eaton and clientsReview engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actionsComply with the company’s policies and proceduresWorking with internal or external resources to have all technical documents submitted for project closing, such as AS-BUILT drawings and Testing Reports, etc. Qualifications 3+ years experience in delivery project engineering in electrical industryExperience with UPS or other mission critical systems (battery systems, generators, DC) is ideal Excellent communication skills Ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholdersStrong ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies, and to adapt to changes in sequences and timelines.Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineer or similar discipline.
