ChoiceOne is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for an opportunity with a well-established engineering workshop specialising in earthmoving, hydraulic and heavy machinery equipment. Based in Welshpool, this role offers the chance to further develop your skills while working within a highly capable and professional workshop environment.

The Opportunity
Working as part of a skilled workshop team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of mining and earthmoving equipment. This role offers excellent exposure to a variety of heavy machinery and the opportunity to further develop your diagnostic and mechanical skills.
Key Responsibilities

Maintenance, repair and overhaul of mining and earthmoving equipment
Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical systems
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Maintaining workshop cleanliness and safety standards
Working both independently and collaboratively within the workshop team
Meeting customer requirements and project deadlines

Skills & Experience

Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mechanical Fitter or similar)
Previous experience in a similar workshop or maintenance role
Heavy vehicle or earthmoving equipment experience (highly desirable)
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety and environmental practices
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
