ChoiceOne is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for an opportunity with a well-established engineering workshop specialising in earthmoving, hydraulic and heavy machinery equipment. Based in Welshpool, this role offers the chance to further develop your skills while working within a highly capable and professional workshop environment.

The Opportunity
Working as part of a skilled workshop team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of mining and earthmoving equipment. This role offers excellent exposure to a variety of heavy machinery and the opportunity to further develop your diagnostic and mechanical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance, repair and overhaul of mining and earthmoving equipment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical systems
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Maintaining workshop cleanliness and safety standards
- Working both independently and collaboratively within the workshop team
- Meeting customer requirements and project deadlines
Skills & Experience
- Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mechanical Fitter or similar)
- Previous experience in a similar workshop or maintenance role
- Heavy vehicle or earthmoving equipment experience (highly desirable)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and environmental practices
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
