A well-established property development company on the NSW Central Coast requires a reliable and hard-working farm and general maintenance handyman for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of large rural, commercial and residential properties.
You will be part of our general maintenance team, working directly with the CEO and property management team. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm.
You will be based at a large commercial farm at Somersby and will attend various other commercial and residential properties using company vehicles. This role will involve general maintenance, labour, gardening, cleaning, and machine operation.
Primary Duties:
Labouring
Operation of farm machinery
Spraying and orchard maintenance
Garden maintenance and lawn mowing
Maintain irrigation, chemical usage, production records
Cleaning, and general repairs and maintenance
Ensure WHS practices, company policies and procedures are adhered to
Required Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills
Machinery operation experience, including operating tractor with spray unit and slasher
Farming background and experience
HR truck licence required
ChemCERT card required
Additional duties would be available to candidates with further experience. The following experience is not required to apply for the position, but would be favourable:
Mechanic experience: mechanical repairs and maintenance.
Building experience: carpentry and renovation work.
Marine (boating) experience: assisting in the maintenance of a personal motor yacht.
