As part of its ongoing growth and expansion of ICT services, the company requires a qualified Systems Analyst to analyse client and internal business systems, develop system specifications, and ensure that technology solutions effectively support organisational objectives.

Position Summary

The Systems Analyst is responsible for evaluating existing ICT systems, analysing business processes, identifying technology requirements, and designing system solutions that improve efficiency and support business operations.

The role involves working closely with stakeholders, developers, project managers, and business users to translate business requirements into functional system specifications, oversee system implementation, and ensure delivered solutions meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify, investigate and analyse organisational business processes, workflows and operational procedures to determine ICT system requirements.

· Conduct detailed requirements gathering through stakeholder consultations to understand business needs, operational challenges and system expectations.

· Evaluate existing ICT systems, applications and business processes to identify inefficiencies, performance gaps and opportunities for technological improvement.

· Develop detailed functional and technical specifications for new ICT systems, software applications and system enhancements.

· Apply data modelling, process modelling and workflow analysis techniques to design effective system solutions that support business operations.

· Translate business and user requirements into clear system specifications and documentation for use by software developers and technical implementation teams.

· Collaborate with software developers, engineers and IT specialists to design, develop and implement system solutions aligned with business requirements.

· Monitor and oversee system development activities to ensure solutions meet project specifications, operational objectives and quality standards.

· Support system integration processes and ensure new applications are compatible with existing ICT infrastructure and organisational systems.

· Develop and implement system testing strategies, including system test plans, test scenarios and acceptance criteria to validate functionality and performance.

· Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure systems meet business requirements and are ready for operational deployment.

· Monitor system performance following implementation and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability and usability.

· Prepare comprehensive system documentation including user manuals, technical documentation and operational procedures.

· Deliver training sessions and provide technical guidance to end users and internal teams on system functionality, processes and best practices.

· Ensure system documentation and training materials remain accurate and updated following system changes or upgrades.

· Participate in ICT project planning activities including defining project scope, estimating effort requirements and identifying resource needs.

· Apply recognised project management methodologies and best practices to support successful delivery of ICT projects.

· Act as a central reference point for system-related information, providing technical guidance and supporting decision-making throughout the system development lifecycle.

  • Knowledge of data modelling, process mapping, and system architecture principles

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, the nominee must possess:

  • A Master’s degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience as a Systems Analyst, or equivalent combination of relevant qualifications and work experience.

Pay: $85,000.00 per year
