About the role
Transpave is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter from the truck body building / heavy vehicle industry. You’ll be involved in pre-fitting and fitting sub-assemblies into trucks and equipment, with a strong focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Key responsibilities

Pre-fit and fit sub-assemblies into truck bodies and related equipment
Install and connect hydraulic and pneumatic components (hoses, fittings, valves, cylinders, air lines)
Read and work from drawings, layouts, and build instructions
Drill/fit brackets and mounts; align and assemble components accurately
Fault-find and rectify hydraulic/pneumatic and mechanical issues
Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in truck body building / heavy vehicle fit-out
Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics (fitment, leak checking, testing)
Confident using hand and power tools; accurate measuring and assembly
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently and in a team
Current driver licence (HR/MR desirable)
Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter / Heavy Vehicle / similar) preferred but not essential with strong experience
