Why should you apply? This newly created position will lead the delivery of major capital projects across a growing manufacturing business. Working closely with operations, engineering and finance teams, the Project Engineering Manager will take ownership of projects from business case development through to commissioning and operational integration. The role will primarily support a large manufacturing facility in Melbourne’s south-east, while collaborating with engineering and operational stakeholders across multiple sites. With strong growth in production volumes driving investment, the business requires an experienced project leader who can bring structure, ownership and commercial thinking to the delivery of complex capital projects. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of capital projects from concept and business case through to installation and commissioning. Manage projects ensuring delivery to safety, quality, cost and timeline targets. Develop and present capital investment business cases to senior leadership. Work closely with operations, engineering and finance teams to ensure projects align with business objectives. Manage contractors, suppliers and external engineering partners throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee equipment installation, line integration and factory layout considerations including production flow and warehouse impact. Ensure projects meet relevant safety, quality and manufacturing compliance standards. Provide strong stakeholder communication and project governance across the business. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the following Project engineering or capital project management within FMCG manufacturing environments. Proven track record in ownership and delivery of large-scale capital projects or production line installations. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, equipment integration and factory flow. Ability to build and present commercial business cases for capital investment. Experience working cross-functionally with operations, engineering, finance and external contractors. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. To apply online, please click on the apply function.
