Who We Are:

Gympie Special School is a Qld Department of Education facility that provides specialised education for students from Prep to Year 12 with verified significant intellectual disabilities.

The school's core mission is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to engage meaningfully in both school life and the broader community.

Our educational programs are tailored to support each student's individual learning, communication, and developmental goals.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the school special education program (SEP) or early childhood development program (ECDP) to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Deputise for the Principal when required.
Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
