Everbright Collective is a small family-owned business located in Maitland NSW offering a range of Allied Health services including Early Childhood Intervention Specialists, Art Therapy, OT, Speech Therapy Support work and Education support.

We are on the lookout for an experienced Support Worker to join our team and work towards our values of empowering our clients to reach their full potential. This role includes a combination of in clinic, online and community work. You will be well supported by our experienced team to support our clients in a transdisciplinary model.

Role Outline

  • Deliver supports to participants and families that lead to positive outcomes.
  • Plan and coordinate support with participants and their families that reflect strengths based and family centred approaches.
  • Commit to improving accessibility for participants in various settings.
  • Take responsibility for the well-being and safety of participants in your care.
  • Support the development of daily living skills to improve independence.
  • Support participant engagement in the community through skill development, in person supports and coordination.
  • Positively contribute to multidisciplinary support teams.
  • Provide support and supervision to less-senior staff members and undertake planning and coordination of activities, programs and projects as required.

What you bring

We welcome applicants who are currently studying or have completed a relevant qualification (social work, occupational therapy, speech pathology, education, or psychology etc) as well as those with relevant lived experience supporting neurodivergence. Preferred candidates will hold a minimum Cert III in Individual Support.

  • A neuroaffirming perspective, based on the social model of disability.
  • Experience with children/ adolescents.
  • An understanding of psychosocial assessments.
  • The ability to coordinate support services to support our client's needs.
  • The ability and confidence to work independently and without direction.
  • Experience working in the disability sector.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Demonstrated experience with task prioritisation and effective time management.
