So, what does a Youth Worker do?

  • Provide emotional support and guidance via a therapeutic model of care

  • Support a child/young person's well-being and development

  • Act as a positive role model

  • Provide school support with homework and projects

  • Assist with daily routines and attend appointments

  • Responding to and managing crises (including reporting)

Essential requirements 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Have completed or enrolled to complete a Cert IV in a relevant field 

  • A valid Blue Card

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • A valid National Police or Crime Check

  • A current driver's license (P2s and above) with a fully registered vehicle

  • Provide First-Aid and CPR Certificates

  • Have completed or willing to complete PeakCare's “Hope and Healing” framework certificate
