Industrial Designer

About the role

Join an Australian distributor of engineered building products that is investing heavily in innovation and new product development.

You will play a key role in taking physical products from concept to production — designing practical, high-quality solutions that are easy to manufacture, install, and use.

What you’ll do

• Develop concepts from brief through to supplier-ready documentation

• Create CAD models, assemblies, renders, and design packs (SolidWorks preferred)

• Prototype, test and refine designs for form, fit and usability

• Optimise designs for manufacturability, cost, and lead time

• Work with suppliers and internal teams to bring products to life

• Contribute to both new product development and improvement of existing products

 What you bring

• Degree in Industrial Design (or equivalent)

• Experience designing physical products for manufacture

• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred)

• Working knowledge of extrusion, casting, machining, injection moulding and surface finishing

• Practical, commercially minded approach with strong attention to detail

• Ability to move from concept through to supplier-ready documentation
