The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with Australian building regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse architectural drawings, engineering plans, and technical specifications to guide construction planning and execution.Manage workforce requirements including recruitment, scheduling, and allocation of labour across project stages.Oversee procurement, delivery, and management of materials, equipment, and plant required for construction activities.Liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and trade workers to coordinate construction activities and resolve technical challenges.Ensure construction projects are completed within approved timelines and allocated budgets.Maintain effective communication with clients, developers, subcontractors, and stakeholders regarding project progress.Prepare and manage tenders, contracts, and procurement documentation for subcontractors and suppliers.Develop and monitor coordinated work programs to ensure efficient site operations.Ensure compliance with building legislation, safety regulations, quality standards, and industry codes.Submit project plans to local councils and relevant authorities to obtain statutory approvals.Supervise subcontractors and ensure their work meets quality, schedule, and performance expectations.Lead and mentor on-site teams to maintain productivity and adherence to project specifications.Liaise with regulatory authorities for inspections, approvals, and compliance requirements.Monitor project milestones and proactively address delays or operational challenges.Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare progress reports for clients and senior management outlining schedule, budget, and quality performance.Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability standards where applicable.Implement quality assurance procedures to maintain high construction standards.Manage change requests by evaluating impact and coordinating project adjustments.Resolve on-site issues through effective leadership and technical problem-solving.Enforce occupational health and safety regulations and conduct regular site inspections.Key Skills and CompetenciesStrong ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.Project planning, scheduling, and resource management expertise.Effective communication and negotiation with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.Risk identification and mitigation planning.Leadership and team supervision capabilities.Problem-solving skills for managing on-site challenges.Strong understanding of construction safety and regulatory requirements.Skills & QualificationsTo be eligible for this role, candidates must possess:A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, or a related field.ORAt least five years of relevant industry experience in construction project management.Experience RequirementsMinimum 1 year of full-time experience in a related role.RemunerationThe successful candidate will receive:$95,000 annual salary plus superannuation, in accordance with Australian employment regulations.Employment ConditionsEmployment entitlements will be provided in accordance with:National Employment Standards (NES)Fair Work Act and relevant Fair Work instruments prescribed by the Australian GovernmentMandatory Information for ApplicantsApplicants must include the following details in their cover letter or email:Educational qualifications (Australian or overseas)Relevant work experienceResidency status (Australian Citizen / Permanent Resident / Temporary Resident)English language test scores (IELTS or PTE) if applicable for temporary residents or overseas applicantsHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume and cover letter to: [email protected]:Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are preferred.
