About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable and strategically minded Work Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to join our Legal, Governance and Risk division. Reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance, this managerial role is responsible for designing, governing, and continuously strengthening RWWA’s Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS) and the broader WHS governance framework.
This role is critical in ensuring our WHS practices not only meet statutory obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) but also reflect contemporary governance standards, proactive risk management, and an enterprise-wide commitment to safety.
You will lead WHS governance strategy, integrate WHS risk into the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), provide due diligence reporting to Executives and Officers, and oversee RWWA’s approach to psychosocial, high-risk work, contractor management, emergency readiness and WHS assurance
This is a high-impact opportunity for a WHS governance professional who thrives in complex environments, brings a strong systems-thinking approach, and is confident engaging at senior and executive levels.

You are an experienced WHS governance leader who brings intellectual rigour, strong judgement and the ability to influence confidently across complex, high-accountability environments. You are also able to balance statutory compliance with pragmatic risk management and demonstrate a calm, credible presence when engaging Executives, Officers and regulators.
