Disability Support Worker – Community Access | Adamstown We are seeking a mature and compassionate MALE Disability Support Worker to support a female client in
Adamstown living with depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
This role focuses on community participation, emotional wellbeing, and encouraging independence while providing respectful and supportive care.
About the Client The client is a 67-year-old woman who enjoys spending time out in the community and values support workers who are patient, calm, and encouraging. Her interests include exploring new places in the community, shopping trips and photography and taking pictures while out and about
Support Requirements You will provide supportive, person-centred assistance including:
- Encouraging client in community activities
- Assisting with planning and attending outings
- Providing calm, respectful emotional support
- Supporting independence while ensuring safety and wellbeing
Shifts:
- Thursday: 8:00am – 10:00am
- Saturday (fortnightly): 6:30pm – 10:30pm
- 1st Sunday of each month: 5:00pm – 8:00pm
About You We’re looking for a reliable support worker who:
- Is mature, patient, and compassionate
- Has experience supporting people with mental health conditions
- Communicates clearly and respectfully
- Enjoys supporting participants to engage with their community
Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check - Employee
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
Pay Rates B2.1 (Casual)
SCHADS Award B2.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
- Base hourly rate: $43.23
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $47.55
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $48.41
- Saturday: $60.52
- Sunday: $77.81
- Public holiday: $95.10
