About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Community Worker to join our team. The role involves providing direct support to individuals and families, facilitating access to services, and developing community programs that address social, cultural, and economic needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide case management and support services to clients, including needs assessment and referral to appropriate services.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate community programs and initiatives.

  • Advocate for clients to access housing, health, education, and employment services.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, service providers, and government agencies.

  • Maintain accurate client records and prepare reports in line with organisational and funding requirements.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant qualification in Community Services, Social Work, or a related field (minimum Diploma).

  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities, including culturally and linguistically diverse groups, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and individuals experiencing disadvantage.

  • Strong knowledge of community services, referral pathways, and social support systems.

  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Current Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).

  • Current driver’s licence.
