About the Role As a Serviceperson, you will support site operations by ensuring mobile plant and heavy mining equipment are fuelled, serviced and maintained to maximise reliability and productivity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Refuelling and shift servicing of mobile plant and mining equipment
- Completing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance tasks
- Assisting tradespeople with washing, servicing, maintenance and minor repairs
- Supporting general maintenance and operational activities across site
- Identifying, recording and reporting equipment defects or damage
- Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Promoting and maintaining MacKellar’s strong safety culture
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Service Person in the mining industry
or a Light Vehicle or Diesel Fitter trade qualification with experience on civil or agricultural equipment
- RIISAM212D – Service mine plant and equipment
- Current HR driver’s licence
- RIIVEH307 – Operate Heavy Rigid Vehicle (VOC) – highly desirable
- RIIVEH306 – Operate a Mine Service Vehicle (VOC) – highly desirable
