About the Role:
We're looking for a warm, enthusiastic and professional Front Desk Operator / Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our hotel. Your main focus will be creating a positive first and last impression for our guests.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing check-ins, check-outs and guest enquiries
Handling reservations, phone calls and emails
Providing local knowledge and guest support
Processing payments and balancing the till
Coordinating with housekeeping
Requirements:
Exposure to F&B experience will be highly regarded.
Bar service experience is highly regarded for this position.
Computer Skills: It is essential that you are familiar with MS Office applications. (Word, Basic Excel, Microsoft Outlook, attaching documents to email, basic formulas on existing Excel worksheets)
RMS9+ (Reservations Software) experience preferred but not necessary - full training provided.
Passion: A can-do attitude and a genuine passion for guest experience.
Adherence to Company policies: Able to follow our well-established policies and procedures across the departments.
First Aid certification can be obtained after hiring if not currently held.
RSA Certification: Current RSA certification is required at the time of application or willing to obtain.
What We're Looking For:
Previous reception, front desk or customer service experience (hospitality preferred)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of customer service or hospitality experience is required.
A friendly, professional phone and in-person manner
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable using booking/reservation systems (RMS preferred)
Someone looking for long term employment
Hours - 30 - 38 hours per week
Mornings 06:45am – 3:00pm
OR
Afternoons 12:45pm - 21:00pm
Days - 4 to 5 days per week
MUST BE AVAIALBE TO WORK: TUESDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
