The Perkins is seeking a collaborative and solutions-focused Business Analyst to work with teams across the organisation to understand business needs and support the delivery of effective ICT and digital solutions. This position is offered on a full time permanent basis, located at our state-of the-art medical research facilities in Nedlands.

About this role
Reporting to the General Manager of Technology, the Business Analyst plays an important role in supporting business improvement and digital initiatives across the Institute. The role works closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support the delivery of technology and system solutions that enhance organisational efficiency and effectiveness.. The key responsibilities of this role include:
Working with stakeholders across the organisation to gather, analyse and document business requirements
Translating business requirements into clear technical specifications to support system development and implementation
Analysing data, processes and workflows to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Supporting the planning, delivery and monitoring of ICT and digital initiatives
Preparing documentation and reports to support project delivery and decision-making
Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions meet business needs
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support successful solution delivery
This role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders across a diverse organisation, improving business processes and supporting the delivery of practical digital and ICT solutions in a collaborative environment.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
A tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
Previous experience working as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
Experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences
The ability to analyse problems, identify solutions and support implementation
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and manage stakeholder expectations
Familiarity with data analysis tools, project management software and business systems
