The Sales Account Manager plays a key role in driving DiGiCOR’s customer engagement and revenue growth. This position requires a strong focus on building and managing customer relationships, understanding business requirements, and delivering tailored IT infrastructure solutions. The role bridges sales expertise with technical awareness, ensuring customers receive the best possible advice and service in line with DiGiCOR’s product portfolio and market strategy.
Key responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Account Management
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, ensuring retention and growth across assigned accounts.
Act as the primary contact for allocated accounts, providing consultation and guidance on DiGiCOR’s server, storage, and IT infrastructure solutions.
Regularly engage with prospects and customers through meetings, calls, and presentations to understand needs and propose value-driven solutions.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive account planning, pipeline development, and opportunity conversion.
Prepare, present, and negotiate customer proposals and quotations, ensuring alignment with client requirements and profitability targets.
Collaborate with pre-sales engineers to design technical solutions that fit customer business needs.
Participate in tender responses, RFP/RFQ processes, and solution proposals.
Market & Product Awareness
Stay informed of DiGiCOR’s evolving product portfolio, industry trends, and competitive landscape to provide relevant recommendations to customers.
Promote DiGiCOR’s value proposition across sectors including SMB, Enterprise, Education, Government, and Defence.
Contribute feedback to product and marketing teams based on customer needs and market dynamics.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with Assistant Sales Representatives (ASRs) to streamline sales operations and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Coordinate with internal departments (purchasing, logistics, technical, service delivery) to deliver end-to-end customer solutions.
Maintain accurate records in CRM, including opportunity tracking, forecasts, and account notes.
Provide regular sales reporting, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline visibility to management.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
A degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within IT hardware, servers, storage, networking, or enterprise technology solutions.
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer accounts, opportunities, and deadlines.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure concepts (servers, storage, networking, cloud, edge computing).
Understanding of the ANZ IT distribution, reseller, or systems integrator ecosystem.
