About the Role

The AMEP & SEE Administration Officer provides high-level administrative and operational support to the English as an Additional Language (EAL) department, ensuring the effective delivery of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP), Skills for Education and Employment (SEE), and Skills First programs.
Working as part of the Foundation Directorate administration team and reporting to the EAL Administrative Team Leader, this role supports the student lifecycle by managing enquiries, coordinating enrolments, maintaining government reporting systems, monitoring attendance, and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
This role suits a proactive administrator who thrives in a high-volume environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Provide high-quality administrative support for AMEP, SEE and Skills First program operations
  • Respond to high volumes of enquiries and provide accurate information to students, service providers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain student records and government reporting systems including ARMS and WFAO in line with contractual requirements
  • Manage student group set-up, scheduling and system updates using CELCAT and Student Management Systems (e.g. STRATA / Markbook)
  • Monitor student attendance and engagement and liaise with staff and support services as required
  • Process enrolments, applications and course information across the student lifecycle
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records to meet audit and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to support program delivery
  • Assist with reporting requirements and contribute to audit preparation and compliance activities
  • Provide administrative support to the EAL team and assist with general departmental operations

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Relevant qualification and/or significant experience in administrative support roles, preferably within an education or training environment
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
  • High level computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience working with databases and reporting systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Understanding of confidentiality, privacy and compliance requirements

Desirable

  • Experience working with student management systems, timetabling systems or government reporting platforms
  • Knowledge of AMEP, SEE or other government-funded education programs
