Your RoleWe are seeking a reliable and organised Client Support Assistant to help keep the Vinnies Support Centre running smoothly and to support the vital work of our staff, volunteers, members and the broader community. Be part of a passionate team working hand-in-hand with the community to support people facing hardship. The Vinnies Support Centre is a warm, inclusive space where individuals and families can access practical support, referrals and a friendly face. With services like an emergency food pantry and a dedicated team of volunteers, we work closely with the local community to meet people's needs with care, dignity and respect. This role supports people who may be experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or the effects of alcohol and other drugs.
Your ResponsibilityThe successful candidate will bring experience in managing challenging situations with care and cultural sensitivity, using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.
