Ventia’s NSW Industrial team at BlueScope Port Kembla is looking for an organised and proactive Administration Support Officer to support our busy operations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and loves being the go‑to person who keeps everything running smoothly. This is a full time 12-month maternity leave cover position.

About the Role

As our Administration Support Officer, you’ll provide high-quality administrative support across Training, HR, SHEQ, Fleet, and general office functions.

Your role will include:

  • Maintaining training records, licences and qualifications across VisRes/LMS, SAP, ComplyFlow, Pegasus and SharePoint
  • Supporting new starter onboarding and training requirements
  • Administering training contracts (setups, extensions, cancellations, CBCs, transfers)
  • Managing the Motor Vehicle Fleet register, including service dates, registrations and inspections
  • Uploading and maintaining SHEQ and HR documentation
  • Updating monthly reports, organisation charts and payroll documentation


To be successful, you’ll need:

  • Strong administrative experience (HR admin experience is highly regarded, but not essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Confidence using systems such as MS Office, SAP, LMS platforms or similar
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • A current driver’s licence
