As an experienced Accountant, join our finance team based at our Support Services office in Wayville, South Australia. The finance team supports a successful, privately owned business that delivers complex projects to the best public and private companies along with state and federal governments Australia wide. This is a full-time permanent position, with a competitive salary package that is reflective of the role and the candidates experience. Our projects are Australia wide and occasional site visits may be required to assist our Operations team. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for: Preparation of month end reporting including journals and balance sheet reconciliations;Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and other compliance, including Income Tax, FBT, GST, Payroll Tax, PAYG and WorkCover;Liasing with Project Managers and assisting with Project historical and forecast financials;Assisting with Fixed Asset Register Maintenance and Equipment Finance reconciliations;Developing improvements to processes and procedures around the month end process;Assisting with the Annual Audit; andEnd to end accounting of Joint Venture companies including processing and banking. Candidate RequirementsRelevant financial/accounting qualification (essential);CA or CPA qualification (or studying for) (desired);Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;High level of attention to detail and problem solving skills;Strong time management and ability to achieve deadlines; andExcellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
