Junior Accountant

Flipside Distribution was founded in 1998 and is a leading company in streetwear and fashion distribution, brands include Carhartt, Stussy and Stone Island. The company operates its own wholesale, retail and online channels and services clients and end-customers both locally and overseas.

Based in Darlinghurst we are looking for an organised and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. This is a full-time/onsite position.

The position involves a range of duties including but not limited to the following:

• Associated AR/AP functions including day to day management

• Daily preparation of PayPal/Shopify/bank Statements

• Processing of supplier invoices and credit notes

• Liaising with internal and external parties regarding invoice processing, disputes, claim resolution and payment queries

• Daily reconciling of bank/e-commerce accounts and transactions

• Processing of expenses & related journal entries

• Credit Card & merchant reconciliation

• Updating of PPSR register

• Contact for store EOD issues

• A variety of administrative and other Ad-hoc duties as required

Reporting directly to the Accountant the ideal candidate would possess the following:

• Excellent organisation and time management skills

• Experience with Microsoft LS/ BC

• Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and be comfortable working in a small team environment or autonomously

• Accounting degree
